phpWebsite - How this site is built

Introduction

This website and it's portal features has been built with phpWebsite from the Appalachian State University. We have installed most modules that are available to us and have customised very little, if anything.

In addition we have written our own theme to provide our corporate look and feel. The following sections list what is installed and other modules that we know about, partly for public interest and partly as documentation for ourselves.

In general we recommend that people choose modules that are provided through sourceforge rather than those on other sites. This is because sourceforge provides a permanent repository of versions along with bug tracking and source code control. Whilst others may have similar good practices they not open to the same level of scrutiny that sourceforge is.
